Cruise updated to Windows Mobile 6.1

Better late then never right? It’s taken awhile but HTC has just released an official upgrade for the Cruise (aka Polaris/P3650) users out there. This update brings improvements in functionality and some much appreciated fixes, like:

  1. Bluetooth headset issues where nothing can be heard from certain headsets
  2. Device not remembering last active keyboard and always reverting back to default keyboard.
  3. Title bar may disappear when returning back to the Today screen
  4. Powerpoint files possibly cutting viewfinder in the options screen
  5. Display becoming distorted after taking picture in GPS mode and then putting device to sleep
  6. FM radio possibly using incorrect audio output (headset or speaker)
  7. TouchFLO settings icon may not display in device settings menus

As well as the improvements that 6.1 make over Windows Mobile 6, especially the threaded text messaging.
